Woven in wools and silks, depicting a Roman general handing a box to a kneeling courtly elder, with soldiers marching and on horseback approaching a fortified town with people greeting them, within a hilly and wooded landscape, the border with foliate sprays and various figures centred to the sides and top and bottom by pastoral scenes and within a blue outer slip, reduced in height and width, the outer slip associated, minor areas of reweaving and patching
