Second half 16th Century
Woven in wools and silks, depicting a crowned maiden handing a cloak to a man wearing a dagger, to the right middle distance the same man is holding the cloak and discussing it with a seated man, the background with various buildings and gardens within a hilly wooded landscape, within a fruiting and floral border with various putti, to each side the centre with a medallion of an architectural vista and within an acanthus frame, the blue outer slip turned over and with the Brussel's townmark and unidentified weaver's mark to the right, minor areas of reweaving
