A LARGE FAMILLE ROSE ARMORIAL FLATTENED BALUSTER VASE AND COVER enamelled on either side with a lozenge-shaped coat-of-arms supported by a lion and griffin above the motto Et Decus Et Pretium Recti surrounded by a bamboo and floral garland, reserved on a moulded ground imitating basket weave, the angles decorated in iron-red and gilt rope pattern, applied at either side with gilt fruiting berry branch handles, the cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a Buddhistic- lion finial (top of both handles repaired, one corner of cover rim repaired), circa 1655
