A BAYREUTH GLAZED RED-STONEWARE COFFEE-POT AND COVER of square section and baluster form with flat angular scroll handle, the curved square spout issuing from a dolphin's head mask and joined to the body by a convex bridge, two sides of the body gilt with a three-flowered plant beneath a gilt-tasselled loop border, the domed square cover with a similar border and with cushion finial (crack to base of handle and bridge near body, chips to three corners and inside rim of cover and finial, minute chip to spout, gilding rubbed), circa 1735
