Tommaso Lambertini, Pope Benedict XIV was elected in 1740 and died in 1758, the remaining pieces of this service recorded at auction were sold in these Rooms on 2 December 1974, lots 145-149. This service was given to the Pope by Augustus III in 1749 in recognition of his help in financing a church in Dresden
