A BÖTTGER CHINOISERIE BOWL painted in the manner of P.E. Schindler, one side with an Oriental offering a bowl of fruit to a seated dignitory, a baby in the background seated on a table playing with a bird, the other side with an Oriental clown playing a violin while a dog and a bird sing and another figure entertains a baby, on green terraces with shrubs and birds and insects in flight within gilt and iron-red scroll and Böttger lustre panel cartouches flanked by indianische Blumen, the interior with similar flowers within a similar cartouche and a gilt scroll band below the gilt rim (star crack and half circular crack to base, rim crack and associated repair), gilder's 3., circa 1725
