A MEISSEN SLOP-BOWL painted with harbour scenes, one side with the back view of a merchant on a pack horse before an estuary and shipping, the other side with merchants at discussion beside barrels, packages and an anchor within gilt scroll, iron-red and purple Laub-und-Bandelwerk cartouches, the interior with a similar scene and an elaborate interlocking gilt scroll border (crack near base), blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer 10, and gilder's A. mark, circa 1740
