A GERMAN FLINTLOCK SPORTING GUN with two-stage barrel and copper fore-sight, the breech struck twice with a standing halberdier mark (Neue Støckel 5060), plain rounded lock (top jaw and screw missing), moulded walnut full stock (fore-end with minor chip), the butt with cheek-piece decorated with punched stars, iron mounts including flat heel-plate secured by tacks, and engraved flat side-plate, iron fore-end cap and no tail-pipe (ramrod and pipes missing), circa 1670
