ANOTHER WHEEL-LOCK SPORTING RIFLE with heavy swamped octagonal sighted barrel (back-sight missing) rifled with six grooves, grooved at the breech and stamped twice with a lion mark (similar to Neue Støckel 5499 and 5516), plain lock struck with a mark, a crowned fish on a shield, and with integral wheel-cover pierced with a stylised heart, full stock with fluted fore-end (cracked and chipped), the butt with punched decoration and partly cut with overlapping scales, iron trigger-guard, set trigger, and white horn ramrod-pipe (replaced), side-nail washers and fore-end cap, the cheek-piece inlaid with an oval staghorn panel carved in relief with the arms of Fürstenberg (ramrod missing), circa 1650
