A GERMAN TWO-HAND SWORD with straight double-edged blade with long ricasso bordered by fullers and struck with a unicorn's head mark on each face, iron hilt comprising long straight slender quillons with multiple turned mouldings and buttons at the tips, and symmetrical oval side-rings framing plates with quatrefoil- and star-shaped piercings, pear-shaped pommel (perhaps later) with prominent turned button, and spirally fluted wooden grip bound with wire (incomplete), circa 1600
