The Austin A40 became known as a Cambridge in 1954 with a displacement of 1,200cc. Throughout the fifties the Cambridge became available with a progressively larger engine, until its final form in 1961 with the introduction of the A60 with a 1,622cc engine. Styling changed also, from an unpretentious post-war family saloon to a more fashion conscious design with special paintwork and trim.
This Cambridge has had two owners and in recent years has been entered for numerous events at the National Motor Museum. It is in original condition, with the addition of a tow bar and seat belts.
