1966 RILEY ELF MARK II SALOON
Registration No. JLN 214D
Chassis No. RA25282578H
Engine No. 8G57EP64521AD
Right hand drive.
1962 was the introductory year of the badge engineered Wolseley Hornet and Riley Elf derivatives of the front wheel drive BMC Mini. They were instantly recognisable by their traditional radiator grilles and extended boot and the Riley Elf was promoted as the most luxurious small car in the world, with its walnut fascia, leather upholstery and pile carpeting.
In 1963 the Riley Elf became the Mark II adopting the enlarged 998cc A Series engine that provided 38bhp and a cruising speed of over 75mph.
This attractive Mark II is one of the later examples of that series and is in very good overall condition having recently been restored and repainted in the original green and white livery. It is believed to have only four previous owners and has been well maintained.
