Jaguar's acquisition of Daimler in 1960 resulted in the demise of the Daimler Dart/SP250 sports car. However, its excellent engine gained a new lease of life in the classic Jaguar Mark II hull. A more luxurious interior and a fluted radiator are all that differentiate the car from a Jaguar to the untutored eye, yet in their recent renaissance as a collector's car, the Daimler has so far been somewhat neglected. This is strange as it provides comparable performance, certainly to a 2.4-litre Jaguar, with a top speed of 112mph and greater flexibility and smoothness.

This automatic example is finished in light blue with dark blue leather interior. The body has been gradually restored over the last five years and the engine runs well and quietly. There is a current MoT certificate. New carpets are needed along with door and boot seals to complete the restoration of this stylish motor car.
