Details
1936 FORD MODEL C 10HP TOURER

Registration No. CYH 678
Chassis No. 462/1193
Engine No. 648/655
Right hand drive.

Until 1932 Ford of England made right hand drive versions of the American Ford, however the opening of the Dagenham plant in 1932 saw the introduction of the first true British Ford, the 8hp 933cc Model Y. This was joined by the Model C Ten of 1,172cc in 1935, a car which supplanted the Austin Seven as the favourite basis for British road going and trials specials.

This very tidy example has been completely overhauled in recent years and the chassis has been strengthened. The car has remained with the same family for many years and prior to this had only one other owner. The last MoT expired in 1988 shortly after the death of its principal driver. Finished in white with navy blue wings and red interior, this is a charming four seat touring car.
