1971 RANGE ROVER TWO DOOR SERIES I
Registration No. DLT 808J
Chassis No. 35500619A
Engine No. 35500749A
Right hand drive.
Land Rover introduced their famous two door Range Rover in 1970 as a more luxurious passenger orientated companion to the familiar Land Rover. The Rover V8 3½-litre engine was mated to a four speed gearbox with high and low ratios, permanent four wheel drive and differential locking facility. This estate bodied four wheel drive set new standards for off road vehicles which has been maintained to this day.
This early 1971 example was first registered in May 1971 and has only had two owners since 1976. Recently the car has been in storage and although mechanically very good and with a new gearbox, the blue paintwork is badly faded and needs some restoration. The original plastic framed seats have suffered from the well known cracking. The tyres are legal and being an early Series I model this will provide a worthy and straight forward restoration project.
