The rifle fitted with scarce vernier-scale supine iron-sights and a folding backsight adjustable for elevation only, with an unusual bar-foresight with windage adjustment, vertical platinum line and spirit level, the falling-block action with chequered press-stud safety, the action-body and furniture with best engraving of flowers, fruit and foliage and much blued finish, figured stock with pistolgrip, central reinforcing bands at the hand and four engraved transverse bolts, with engraved heel-and toe-plates, heavy Metford-rifled barrel
