A PAIR OF BOW FIGURES OF HARLEQUIN AND COLUMBINE in a dancing pose, he standing before a tree-stump with a slap-stick beneath his right arm, wearing yellow hat, black mask, chequered jacket and trousers, his companion holding a slap-stick beneath her left arm, wearing turquoise-brimmed feathered blue hat, her jacket with turquoise, yellow and puce-scale panels and with one chequered sleeve, her white skirt with playing-cards and chequered stripes, flanked by flowering tree-stumps, the pierced scroll-moulded bases enriched in turquoise, blue, puce and with gilding (his lower right arm, hand and base of slap-stick restored and small restoration to brim of hat, she with upper part of slap-stick restored, both with chips to flowers and foliage), circa 1762
