A LARGE KASHAN LUSTRE DISH with rounded sides and everted rim on short foot, the interior painted with a central roundel depicting a bird among foliage, in a border of scrolling vine around a procession of perching birds between simple stripes, the rim with a band of lobed motifs, the exterior with cursory naskh calligraphy, early 13th century (areas of restoration)
