AN IZNIK POTTERY DISH with sloping rim on short foot, the white interior painted in cobalt-blue, emerald-green and bole-red with an asymmetrical arrangement of a variety of floral sprays including peonies, hyacinths, carnations and tulips, in a stylised wave and scrolling motif border, the design extensively overpainted in gold leaf with extra detailing on the flowers, the rim also with alternating rosettes and cintamani wave motifs, the underside with alternating green rosettes and paired blue tulips, early 17th century (rim chips, hair crack)
