Timurid, late fourteenth/early fifteenth century

manuscript on pale buff paper, 28ff., each with 7ll. of flowing black naskh, gold roundels with blue and red dots between verses, gold margin within black rules, red and blue outer rules, sura headings in gold within a panel of red cross-hatching, (remargined, minor smudging and staining), first three folios with copious marginal prayers and notes in Persian in later hands pertaining to the owners of the juz' in the 18th and 19th centuries, opening folio with delicate illluminated heading, black glitter binding with stamped medallion and pendants within gold margins (damaged and repaired)
