manuscript on thick polished buff paper, 300ff. plus four flyleaves, each with 15ll. of strong black naskh, punctuation in red, gold roundels between verses, gold margin between black rules, red outer rule, gold and polychrome marginal medallions marking the juz' and sajda, sura headings in white on gold panels, (worming, minor smudging, damages and repairs), opening bi-folio illuminated in gold and polychrome, final folio with colophon signed by Sayyid Muhammad Bahjati, a pupil of Abdullah al-Wahbi and dated 1280 (smudged), contemporary dark maroon morocco binding with gold lattice design and border (scuffed and repaired), marbled paper doublures
