Lot Essay
This translation was made for Sultan Muhammad Qutb Shah, the Sikh ruler of Golconda. On the final page there is a copy of a note by Baha al-Din approving the translation. The translator was the prime minister of the Golconda Kingdom and died in AH 991 at Mocha on his way to perform the Hajj.
The present copy was endowed by Mirza Husain al-Husaini in AH 1203/1788-9 AD.
