Contemporary Roman red morocco gilt, the panelled covers with the centrally-placed arms of the Lomellini family flanked by initials F.L., flat-backed spine in five compartments, lettered in one, the others decorated, white metal and leather clasps, g.e. (spine chipped, corners worn, one with a section broken away). Provenance: Collège de Chalon-sur-Saone (binding, presented by Claude Tisserand de Chalange, Prior of the Benedictine abbey of Saint-Pierre of Chalon-sur-Saone); Benedictine monastery at Cluny (inscription). - [ARMENIAN GRAMMAR (in Armenian)]. Venice: [Mechitarist Monastery of San Lazzaro], 1730. 8° (216 x 147mm.). One full-page engraved illustration, woodcut title surround, initials and decorations. Contemporary Venetian light brown morocco, covers panelled in gilt and blind with decorated central oval containing figures of the Crucifixion and the Virgin and Child on the upper and lower covers respectively, spine with raised bands in five compartments, each with a centrally-placed styllised flower tool, remains of clasps, floral paper pastedowns, gilt and gauffered edges. - With six other gilt tooled bindings, three from Italy, one from ?Augsburg and one from Antwerp; Sold as a collection of bindings, not subject to return.
