4° (214 x 140mm.). Woodcut printer's device on title and colophon (some spotting, some worming to lower margins occasionally affecting a few characters). Contemporary Italian light brown morocco over pasteboard, covers panelled in gilt and blind surrounding a central blocked cartouche with (on the upper cover) A/VRELI/VS, and (on the lower) AL/CIATU/S, four compartment spine with raised bands, tooled in gilt and blind (extremities rubbed and occasionally chipped). Provenance: Aurelio Alciati (binding); various early inscriptions, one dated Rome 1580, another Rome 1624. Adams R-820.
