Engraved title vignette, one folding map by Michael Burghers (repaired at folds), one headpiece, one initial, 16 plates (small rusthole in one plate, old light dampstaining to leaves Gg3 to end, without final ?blank). 18th-century light red morocco gilt, covers with wide border composed from various rolls, cornerpieces including styllised foliage and a parody of the french royal crowned double-L monogram, six compartment spine with raised bands, black morocco lettering-piece in one, the others tooled with flowers, foliage and sun decoration (joints slightly rubbed). Provenance: N.Crynes (early ownership stamp on b1 and N1); Harrison of Snelston Hall, Derbyshire (armorial bookplate).
