INDENTPrivate W. Woodvine was appointed Shoeing Smith 1 October 1900

Private A. Ashton was presented with his medal on Horse Guards Parade by King Edward VII personally 26 July 1901; an article written by Ashton and a photograph of him with his fellow Troopers appears in the book '5,000 Miles with the Cheshire Yeomanry'.
