INDENTLieutenant Charles Worthington Bosworth, educated at St. Cuthbert's, Worksop, was occupied exploring the Arctic region of Canada on the outbreak of war; he entered the 8th Lincolns December, 1914 as 2nd Lieutenant and was advanced to Lieutenant June, 1915. Lieutenant Bosworth and his twin brother, Arthur Wright Bosworth of the same Regiment and Battalion, were both killed in action on the same day at the Battle of Loos, 26 September 1915 - they are both commemorated on the Loos Memorial. The Bn. had been in France only six days before the twins were killed. (Ruvigny's Roll of Honour, Vol. II refers)
