INDENT Lieutenant Colonel Harrison Johnson D.S.O., of Hoylake, Cheshire, born 1880, educated Leamington College, was selected to assist in the training of the 15th Bn. Cheshire Regiment, the original Bantam Bn. of the New Army; promoted to Captain early in 1915, he accompanied his Regiment to France early in the following year and took part in the severe fighting of 1916; he succeeded to the command of the Bn. March, 1918 (D.S.O., London Gazette 4.6.1917; Mentioned in Despatches twice; Belgian Croix de Guerre)

Lieut. Colonel Harrison is mentioned extensively in The Bantams - S. Allison, he also published his own "Extracts from an Officer's Diary"
