INDENTMajor William Eastwood, born 1880, gazetted 2nd Lieutenant Royal Irish Rifles (from Militia), 1900, served throughout the South African War, 1899-1902, advanced to Captain, 1908 and at the beginning of the Great War was appointed Major and Adjutant, 6th Bn.; proceeded to Gallipoli, arriving at Anzac Cove with his Bn. 5 August, 1915 - six days later 11 August, Major Eastwood was killed in action during a massive Turkish surprise attack when the Bn. lost half of its men and nearly all of its officers; he is commemorated on the Helles Memorial

Lieutenant Alexander McKee was killed in action during the Third Battle of Ypres, 22 November, 1917 and is commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial
