INDENT Corporal Cyrus Wilson, born 1888, Mohill, Ireland, a shepherd by occupation, enlisted 17 April 1915, and proceeded to Alexandria 26 December as part of the 6th Reinforcement; served with 10 Squadron and 'C' Squadron of his Regiment and was promoted Lance Corporal, advanced to Temporary Corporal, reverting to Trooper after being wounded; awarded Military Medal 25.11.1917 (London Gazette 29.3.1918). Corporal Wilson was killed in action, Palestine, 30 March 1918 - one day after his award was gazetted
