INDENTPrivate William Adie Brown, 4th (Queen's Own Royal) Hussars, served with his Regiment in India and during the South African War 1899-1902. Called up from the Reserve in August 1914 he went to France 23 November and was killed by a trench mortar shell near Ypres 28 May 1915.

Squadron Sergeant Maurice Lamport 5th (Royal Irish) Lancers was killed in action, France/Flanders, 30 October 1914.

Sergeant J.Allison and Private E.Goodwin, both 11th (Prince Albert's Own) Hussars were taken prisoner 26 August 1914 at Busigny (35 men of 'A' Squadron 11 Hussars were taken prisoner on this day, see pages 46-50 of the Regimental History, and lot --- for the group to Private T.W.Haspey, also captured on this day).

Lieutenant Samuel Taylor Barr, 3rd (King's Own) Hussars, attached 20 Hussars, volunteered for service on the outbreak of war and was shot by a sniper 23 February 1915.
