AN ANTIQUE KAZAK PRAYER RUG, the brick-red field with a variety of angular floral motifs and hooked panels around a large concentric lower ivory and blue hooked panel containing similar motifs, the stepped ivory mihrab arch containing a keel-arch, hooked motifs and the date 1282 (1865-6 AD), in a shaded medium blue border of hooked hexagonal panels alternating with similar rosettes between zigzag and hooked vine stripes (slight wear, some areas of restoration)
