Designed in the manner of a George II sideboard-table, with Vitruvian wave-scrolled frieze supported on 'herm' legs, coupled in front, and embellished with rosettes on dolphin-scale imbrication. It reflects the 19th century Palladian revival style, which began with the rebuilding of Devonshire House in 1815.
