A DAISHO, the blades honzukuri, iorimune, extended chugissaki and torii-zori with marudome bohi ni tsurehi on each side, each with itame hada and gonome-midare hamon of ko-nie, midare-komi boshi (point chipped on dai) and ubu nakago with one mekugi-ana, the dai signed Higo Kuni Tanaka Hachirosaemonjo Kuninobu, circa 1818, 74.7cm. long, the sho signed Zushu Nanameyama ju Tanenaga (school of Taikei Naotane), circa 1818, 50.2cm. long; in mijingai-nuri saya, the sho with a kogai and kozuka, the dai with a plain kogai; each fuchi in shakudo and iroe takazogan depicting Yoshitsune retrieving his bow, the horn kashira decorated with hiramakie plum trees, the shakudo tsuba with gilt chrysanthemum flowerheads (2)
