A TACHI, the blade honzukuri, kasane usui, iorimune, kogissaki and shallow toriizori, with clear mokume hada, komidare hamon of ko-nie and sunagashi, komaru boshi and ubu nakago with two mekugi-ana, signed Fujishima Tomoshige (of Kaga province), probably late 16th century, 63.5 cm. long, in muranashiji scabbard embellished with flowerheads in gold and grey hiramakie and shell inlay, with black-bound hilt, gilt dragon menuki and gilt-rimmed shakudo-nanakoji tachi fittings, buckskin obitori and tachi sageo, and a black-lacquered wood sword-stand
