A KOBAN-SHAPED GYOBU-NASHIJI TWO-CASE INRO, each side with a silver-rimmed kinji panel finely decorated in Shibayama style, the front depicting Daikoku as an entertainer with a performing cat balancing on a stick, a dancing rat at his feet, on the reverse a sparrow in flight above decorative flower arrangements including turnips, peonies, passion-flowers and cherry-blossom, the interior nashiji, unsigned, 19th century, 11.2cm., with an agate ojime and a rounded square ivory ryusa-style netsuke carved and pierced with a crane nesting in a pine-tree on Horaizan, in kebori on the reverse the rake and broom of Jo and Uba, signed Gyokuhosai, 19th century (3)
