Second edition. One of the fullest accounts of microscopes in the eighteenth century, including translations of Trembley and Joblot. Describes the author's solar microscope, and probably the earliest English accounts of the microscope invented by Lieberkuhn in 1739, with a catalogue of the author's instruments at the end.
