Engraved wall-map of the city of Florence on nine sheets, joined, overall size 1250 x 1350mm. Plain engraved title at head, elaborate strapwork dedicatory cartouche incorporating the Medici arms at upper right corner, the dedication left blank, large strapwork cartouche enclosing key to principal buildings, fine 16th century style compass rose with central map of the world and four wind-point cherubs (occasional light staining along joins due to gum, lower margin with several small tears, one with slight loss of blank margin, slightly creased).
