Engraved map of Eastern North America on two sheets, joined, overall 1020 x 620mm., hand-coloured in outline, title set in framed border, decorative dedication cartouche, inset details of Louisiana, Carolina, North America, Charleston and the beavers beside the Niagara Falls (short minor tears along edges on upper and lower folds).
A good example of the first issue of Moll's 'Beaver Map', the image of the industrious beavers and the accompanying text taken from De Fer's wall-map of 1698. Tooley America p.87 (55a).
