Bozerian le Jeune, covers with central floral roundel and semé cornerpieces of small tools and pointillé, within border, in gitl and blind, spine gilt in compartments with floral and pointillé decorations (slightly rubbed), olive morocco liners and pale blue watered silk doublures with gilt-stamped borders, paper and vellum end-papers, g.e.
EDITIO PRINCEPS and the fifth book printed by Aldus. Gaza (1400-1478), a refugee from the Muslims, was professor of Greek at Ferrara, a scholar and linguist of high esteem, who in 1450 was called to Rome by Pope Nicholas V to translate classical Greek works into Italian.
