Specimen 1921-22 1c. to 500r., seventeen values (no 3c. or 6c. and the 20r. being the original 1912 issue only) each overprinted "SPECIMEN" (Samuel Type D12) in a horizontal strip of three (most rejoined or partially severed); some surface defects or water discoloration and each with 5mm. security puncture, without gum. A rare archival grouping. S.G. 44-63, #4,000+. Photo for 500r.

Note: These Specimen stamps come from a record book maintained by the Bechuanaland Post Office and which was returned to London in 1933. This book was subsequently sold by Robson Lowe in Basle (October 1976).
