Middleton relative to his diplomatic visit to Antananarivo earlier in the year, the first from Ra Haniraka with contents refering to 21-day Court mourning on the death of Prince Albert, the other two from Tamatave refer to gifts of cows and bullocks. Also 1838 E.L. from Port Louis, via Cape Town, to London with reference to expenses for the Madagascar Mission. A scarce and most interesting group.
