(ink spot) tied by Cape Town Paquebot c.d.s. and 1d. "Potato" stamp tied by fine strike of Type XII cachet in purple (with original letter enclosed which shows a Type XI cachet struck at top), and a similar U5 to South Africa bearing 1c. and 1½c.; rare only 82 items of mail carried. 1962-63 Resettlement Survey, U5 (4) comprising "8 SEP 1962" Landing of Advance Party, second mailing of M.V. "Tristania" and fourth mailing per S.S. Argentina (2), all bearing South African values cancelled on arrival by Cape Town Paquebot c.d.s. and with appropriate cachets, the first two with self-adhesive tape stains on reverse otherwise fine, and a 1962 Royal Society exhibition cover with Potato stamp tied by Type XII cachet.
