A Correspondence to Denmark The following twenty-two lots comprise an extensive business correspondence to Denmark, circa 1798 - 1807 and 1832-74. Most of the letters are from Ships Captains, and many show manuscript or handstruck forwarding agents' markings.

(6) from Berwick, Sunderland (mileage h.s. of 25. 5. 1801, first month of use), Lynn, Birmingham, Stockton and Liverpool; also 1831-74 E.L., the postal markings including Isle of Man d.s. (2); undated h.s. of High Street (Sunderland), St. Magarets Bank (Rochester), Newhaven, and Seaview (Ryde); f.a.c. of Winther & Co., Cowes; Hull Ship Letter types (5), and London Ship Letter (4); "crown/REGISTERED" of London (3, in two types); London "3½/GROSCHEN" h.s. (8); and four with adhesives. Some minor faults and creases but a very interesting selection (53)
