A SYRIAN LION-HEADED LIBATION SCOOP, of grey stone, the shaft terminating in the head of a lion with open mouth and recessed eyes, details of the mane shown by incised lines, the lion's forelegs stretch round the upper edge of the bowl, and flanked on either side by two smaller lion heads attached to the interior of the bowl, bowl chipped with minor repair, 10th-8th Century B.C.
