A VILLANOVAN IMPASTO POTTERY URN AND LID, the spherical body with short neck and tapering to a flaring conical foot, with twin knobbed side handles, the domed lid surmounted by a figure of a bull with high curving horns, the whole decorated with shallow encircling grooves, incised hatched linear decoration and impressed circles surrounded by incised dots, repaired, circa 8th Century B.C.
