Cross and feather-banded to the top and front, the rectangular top above a hinged slope enclosing a fitted interior of six small drawers, six pigeon-holes and two secret drawers, around a central hinged door enclosing a further drawer, above a sliding well and green velvet-lined writing-surface, above two short and two graduated long drawers, on later bracket feet, the two long drawers on the interior with signs of a central division beneath but probably a change of heart at the time of construction
