A GEORGE III MAHOGANY BREAKFRONT BOOKCASE
The moulded cornice with an urn finial to each front corner, above a pair of glazed doors enclosing six adjustable short shelves, flanked on each side by a door enclosing four shelves, the lower section with a pair of quarter-veneered doors inlaid with ebonised lines and boxwood banding, enclosing four sliding shelves, flanked by a pair of doors, one enclosing three drawers, the other with three shelves, on a moulded plinth base, each of the top shelves with a later book-stop at the back, lacking twelve spheres from the cornice, restorations, the later lock stamped 'CHUBB'S LONDON' above a crown '1821871 51' 'QUEEN VICTORIA'
