Banded overall with boxwood and inlaid with ebony lines and crossbanded in satinwood, the rectangular moulded cornice above a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing six short removable shelves, above a hinged secretaire-drawer enclosing a fitted interior with central drawer, above a serpentine recess flanked by three drawers and two pigeon-holes to each side, above three graduated drawers and a serpentine apron, on bracket feet
