Lot Essay

Cole and Aniakor (1984, p.186) describe Okoroshi (which is also spelt Okorosh, Okorosi, Okorosia), the most widespread Owu masquerade, with at least five distinct styles of face masks. They illustrate masks similar to the present example on p.181 (Pl.33), p.197 (fig.311) and p.203 (fig.316)
